I built an automated parsing tool to help me track my sports card inventory

SaaS / Platform

I'm a big sports card collector, and I predominantly buy & sell in bulk (which means I have a lot of cards). Having a large collection (of mostly lower-value cards) makes it hard for me to keep track of what I have, and how much I pay for it. Not being the most organized person in the world either, it's forced me to come up with developing systems & tools for managing my collection.

After spending a lot of time in the weeds, I've been able to simplify a lot of the work by building an automatic email forwarding & parser system that goes through the emails I receive (primarily from eBay, but it works for other sites as well if they provide card details in the description), and then having it automatically take a first-pass at uploading the card details into my inventory (which I can always edit later).

Once they're in my inventory, I can then adjust any details that seem off and add more that aren't captured in the email (photos, where I'm storing them, etc.), but I've found that at least having this initial pass is super helpful and helps cut off a ton of time.

After testing it on my own collection, it works for me and has saved me a ton of time, so at the very least that's a W. However, I think that if there are other collectors who aren't super organized (like myself), it could also be a helpful tool for them as well, which is why I'm launching it today in case anyone wants to sign up and try it out.

There's a free tier that anyone can sign up for and manually upload their own CSVs and card info for, but the automatic email parsing does cost AI credits, so for that feature I do need to charge for (otherwise I'd be losing money on every read through); but I do have a free trial that you can sign up for to test it out for a couple of weeks (or a month if you use a referral code).

If this sounds like it would be helpful to anyone, feel free to sign up today at https://mycardinventory.com/

It's still early in development so I'm expecting there to be bugs and kinks to work through, but if you have any feedback or questions feel free to DM me and I'd be happy to answer any. Thanks for the time!
