Would it be worth it or disappointing to upgrade from my old Costco Roomba J8+ (vac-only) to Costco's Roborock QX Revo Plus now on sale for $480? Opinions please anyone on the all-rubber main brush vs. the DuoDivide, is it a dealmaker/breaker?

Help Please!

I love the idea of getting a new robot that can help mop because my Newfoundland dog constantly leaves drooly-hairy-nasty spots all over our tile floors. And currently I have to babysit the Roomba and clear the dog, cat, and wife hair out of it daily.

I really don't want to spend more than $500, so this QX Revo Plus at $480 is right at the very upper end of my desired price range. But I notice its brush design doesn't really seem like any sort of upgrade from my old tech — maybe it's even a downgrade going from a dual rubber roller to a single rubber roller?

I see that the MAX has the split differential speed anti-tangle brush design which seems cool, as well as the higher suction rating, but I think my wife might squeeze my head off if I spend $600 + tax... if money weren't a factor, obviously I would just get that. But yeeeeeeesh that's so much $. Is the brush design and the 25k Pa suction really so important in the real world?

Nonetheless my J8+ has reached a point at 3+ years of age where it's doing stuff like having the charging contacts melt out of shape (yikes!), so it's time to transition.

I also see a Dreame D30 Pro Ultra at $480 that has the 25k Pa suction, 3-year warrant (rather than 2), extending arms, and a hot water wash... so it seems like the better deal for the money within my price limit maybe?
