Side Effects

I got my Nexplanon inserted exactly 8 days ago and already I feel wonky. The last two days have been horrific headaches, exhaustion, some insertion site pain, flu-like symptoms, and crazy bloating (probably weight gain too but I've been too scared to check).

All of this is NOT to say I hate it already. I know hormonal birth controls come with a pretty long adjustment period, and I would take all of this over a baby any day. I just wanted to ask what helped anyone else with these symptoms?

Acetaminophen doesn't seem to help the headaches substantially enough, and I don't think I'm ACTUALLY sick (the official website said Nexplanon can cause some flu-like symptoms like a sore throat and such), and I've never known what to do about bloating and weight gain--I've been pretty big my whole life, and recently I've shed over 50 pounds that I really don't want to gain back.

Any tips? Tricks? General advice? I want to give the implant a fair shot and I don't think my experience with the side effects is enough to make me want to remove it.

TLDR ; Got the implant 8 days ago--experiencing headaches, exhaustion, insertion site pain, flu symptoms, and bloating. What helped you?
