Hi everyone, im Taffoz! Glad to join this community.

The pictures show my bedroom/office that I’ve had since I was a kid. It has never been renovated, but I recently graduated and now work from home as an IT consultant, so it’s time for a major upgrade!

I have a solid budget for new furniture and I want to turn this into a highly functional space for work, retrogaming, and relaxing with my girlfriend. I'm a bit messy but highly creative, and I love minimalist and geometric design styles.

What I need to fit in this space:

\- Workspace: A standing desk (at least 2 meters long) for my 3-monitor setup, plus an ergonomic chair.

\- Sleeping/Lounge: A large bed (1.5 size) that can ideally double as a sofa for watching movies.

\- Entertainment: A TV or a projector setup for gaming and movies.

\- Dining: A small, maybe foldable, table for 2 people for casual dinners.

\- Storage (Crucial!): I have a lot of IT and home lab gear, a wardrobe, and art supplies for my graffiti sketching.

\- Hobbies: I also have a 3D printer that I’d love to integrate into the setup (I plan to print custom mounts, brackets, and maybe some DIY IKEA hacks for the new furniture!).

(By the way, if you see an empty piece of furniture behind the door in the pics, it’s an IKEA shoe rack I was literally building while taking photos!)

Room Details:

\- Dimensions: Precise width/length are on the attached 2D floor plan. The ceiling is 2.98 m (about 9.7 ft, sorry im europen ahaha) high.

\- Location: Southern Italy – warm climate.

\- Window Orientation: North / North-East.

\- Renter/Homeowner: Homeowner.

\- Fixed Obstacles: There is a radiator located right under the window.

I'm not great with floor plans, so I drew a sketch and used AI to make a cleaner 2D top-down version (measurements were taken with a laser measure!).

My main question for you:

Given the need for a huge 2-meter desk and a sofa bed, what would be the best layout to maximize floor space without making the room feel cramped? How would you handle the storage for all my IT equipment and art supplies, especially considering the radiator under the window?

Thanks in advance for any advice!
