I built an AI desktop overlay that answers what’s on your screen and stays hidden from screen sharing
I’ve been building a desktop app called Kopya.
The core interaction is pretty simple:
Hit a shortcut → it captures what’s on your screen → AI understands the question/context → the answer appears in a lightweight overlay.
One of the features I cared about most was making the overlay stay local to your screen, so screen-sharing and recording methods don’t capture it.
It works on both macOS and Windows and supports English as well.
I can see it being useful for things like quizzes, practice questions, coding assessments, or anytime you want an answer without constantly switching between your screen and an AI chat.
There’s a free tier if anyone wants to try it and yes undetectability works on free tier too.
Pricing is currently in Turkish Lira because Turkey is the market I’m initially targeting, so it also ends up being considerably cheaper than most global alternatives.
Would love feedback, especially on the core UX and whether the overlay interaction actually feels useful.
