Want to get a new pair, need your help to find one thats right for me!

Headphones - Closed Back

Hello! I am not really an audiophile. But I do understand some very basic concepts :)

I've been satisfied with these older HyperX headphones I've had for a long time, they fulfilled my needs and sound a lot better/higher quality than the other typical gamer and consumer junk you see in stores.

However they have quite a few problems for me. And are starting to become gross. The rubber is denaturing and the top coat of the fake leather is peeling. They're also very difficult to clean because of the way they're constructed.

Rather than getting another pair and dealing with these same problems. I thought I'd ask for the advice of you more knowledgeable folks! Here are my preferences, sorry if anything comes off as ignorant or foolish:

- very few if any plastic pieces, though I understand there are "good" plastics out there, so if that's the case I wouldn't mind it. My main concern is fragility. Plastic adjustable bands and other pieces that see frequent movement shouldn't be plastic, since they'll just break.

- no rubber that will eventually denature and become sticky. I know you can clean this residue off. But it feels stupid to have to do that.

- no fake leather that will peel and shred to bits getting little specks everywhere!

- does not need any additional DACs or equipment to use! I want to be able to just plug it into a 3.5mm audio jack on my phone or computer.

- I'd prefer wired, I don't care about wireless tech and having to charge them as well as dealing with degrading batteries is really annoying.

- not a requirement, but being easier to clean would be nice!

- I'm not particular about audio profiles but since these are headphones that I use for everything since I'm not that picky, I would prefer a pair that aren't intended for very specific extreme base or extreme top end niches! Something more normal would be best!

- no open back! I don't want to subject other people to my music preferences, and sometimes I use headphones when Im in loud places like walking in NYC.

- I think I'd be willing to spend UP to $500, maybe past that if you think they're REALLY perfect, I can be convinced! I definitely would prefer them to be cheaper than 500 if possible though.
