Exchange Program

Okay so I need some legit knowledge about exchange programs for imsciences students or generally Pakistani students. How can I stay updated and what are the things I need to keep prepared for such things. Is there any special activity that I need to be in or something that would increase my chances? Please share your knowledge generously!!
