I was injured at work and I'm unsure if the legal route is worth it.

Location: South carolina. I work maintaining rail road track and was injured when a rail bending assembly gave way. My ankle was sprained and there is a hairline fracture. Non displaced. All my friends and family pushed for me to make a workers compensation case but I was hesitant. The company has been paying for all my bills related to the ankle including mri's. As well as paying me for the two weeks I was out of work. I returned last week on light duty which involves sitting in the truck doing nothing. My question is is there any reason whatsoever to do anything legal wise like a workers comp case or suit for the injury?
