Case carrier for students also receiving SAI?

I am a school based SLP in California for a charter school. I have a few students (TK-1st grade) on my caseload who's primary eligibility is SLI but they also receive SAI services. I am the case carrier for these students and in my experience, SLI students who also receive SAI typically have the RSP teacher as the case carrier. This is the only school I have been at that does things differently. What is your take on this?

I wantto bring this up to the SPED team to change that and I expect resistance. How can I make a case for myself that the SAI providers should be the case carrier?
