Quebec student aid affected by virtual Utah marriage?

Location: Montreal Quebec
My husband is Canadian, born and raised in Quebec, and I’m American. We got legally married through a Utah virtual marriage ceremony. We were both physically together for the actual ceremony. the only person who was physically in Utah was the officiant who performed and registered the marriage.
We currently live apart because I’m studying in the U.S. We visit each other about every other month and have an established relationship; we’re not living together simply because of school/location.
My husband is worried that the Quebec government may not recognize our marriage because it was done virtually through Utah, and that this could affect his Québec student financial assistance/grants if they consider him married and ask for my financial information.
Has anyone from Quebec been in this situation with a Does Québec recognize the marriage for government/student-aid purposes?
