Changing from all wet food to half wet half dry

advice wanted!

Currently both my cats eat Smalls. It’s pricey but it’s about the same as any premium wet food. Everything is getting so expensive now and I’m looking for ways to save money. I was wanting to do half wet half dry diet to save on costs.

I planned to use the dr elsey’s duck formula dry food. How should I introduce the food?

My plan was to feed them wet in the morning and night and dry in the afternoon so I’m not sure how to transition. I’ve been giving the kibble as treats for now just to make sure they like it.

Y’all think I can just do a hard switch to the new method since they’re still eating the smalls too?
