dante(netflix dmc) bruh is meant to be the son of a legendary demon warrior, dante in the games acts cocky because he knows the opponents he fights can't beat him, and he can pull off the W most of the time. Meanwhile, Netflix Dante is acts cocky while being the butt of the joke instead of the guy too cool to care. So much of the plot would have been unchanged if Dante was replaced with a red vial of Sparda blood. Netflix Dante isn't allowed to do anything cool without something coming around to pull the rug under his feet.

Dante saves a baby from a bunch of demons, he makes a lame joke, and then the mother runs away from him with the demon that replaced her baby.
Dante fights a bunch of mercenaries, then he loses to Mary for the first time.
Dante has the motorcycle chase, almost takes care of the rabbit, but a bomb goes off in his neck.
Dante manages to kill the one fire demon, but Mary kills the second wind demon and captures Dante.

Netflix Dante basically seems to be unable to come on top of any fight. He needed Mundus to go and fight Arius, and he lost to Vergil several times, who preaches about how humanity is weak compared to demon power. Something Netflix Dante has no proper counter to, since he can't pull off any W against anyone

Netflix Dante is not even Donte, he's just Don't.

Hulk(MCU) bruh is meant to be the strongest there is, yet I can't remember a time he won a fight? He got his ass whooped by hulkbuster, thanos, thor and she hulk and the biggest piece to prove he is a fraud would be the face he got push back by a jeep. he couldn't plant his feet on the ground to stop it pushing him back

the immortal(Invincible) for a guy who is meant to be this incredibly experienced superhero who has hundreds and hundreds of years. He keeps making rookie mistakes; he didn't seem to develop any skills or try to enhance his powers, and he can't do anything against a Viltrumite-level threat.

Immortal probably got the worst two possible characteristics any character in fiction could have: the ego of vegeta and the incompetence of Yamcha

shadow (idw sonic) shadow is the ultimate life form while it is debatable whether or not he is more powerful than sonic. it still doesn't change the fact he gets washed so badly in the IDW comics. it doesn't help how in the idw comics he just acts like a Temu Vegeta.

gohan(dragonball). It became a meme with how he got his ass kicked so badly by buu after bodying buu for the first half of his fight against him. Also, Gohan's tracksuit era was peak slander against his reputation.he tried to go SSJ and almost died trying to do so.

yamcha(dragonball). His death pose is so iconic it became a meme

Humungousaur (Ben 10). Humungousaur was supposed to be the ultimate strength guy. The big, heavy, strong alien like Four Arms was in the classic series, yet he just loses most of his fights. The two biggest problems with Humungousaur are the refusal to utilize his growth ability in even the basic ways later down the line and the constant demand to use him even when the situation doesn't call for him. Therefore, you began to see a lot of his failures and remember those over his wins at times. Also, another major problem was essentially power-cliffing; anytime they wanted to show just how menacing and dangerous the villain is they'd use Humungousaur as the example so he gets the bullet. one L that was ingrained into my mind was the one he got reverted to Ben by a wannabe Dr. Doom with Raven's dark lasers and in ultimate alien where ben turns into humongasaur in a water planet and almost drowns. Apparently, the writers admitted they forgot he could grow in size and it took away from him after UAF.

[hated trope] character who is meant to be superstrong has a bad win-lose ratio
