why are people so mad at unhistorical tanks, unironically?

or made up tanks, or gpt tanks or assetflips or whatever you wanna call them. I don't really get the enormous amount of hate for them. Less premiums and more tech trees? sure. But hate them purely 'cause theyre tanks that have not been in active service or ones that are blueprinted wet dreams of some engineers?

I think World of Tanks is the one game that actually does it right the way they design "unreal" tanks, given that WoT is an arcade game. If you want historical accurate tanks you can always play Warthunder, but WoT is good in where it serves a niche where the tanks aren't just nonsensical scifi stuff but could probably technically maybe exist irl and staying true to the look and feel of ww2/cold war vehicles.

Are T11 abilites made up bs? of course. Are they still fun to play? for me definitely. Same with the other tanks that aren't based on real tanks, they mostly have some gimmick that make them fun to play with. I often look at the Lesta part of WoT and how unique their vehicles are, not talking about balance or whatever, just purely from a fun/interesting standpoint.
