Can I put an upholstered couch on my porch?

I recently moved into a house with a large elevated porch (covered, but has no screens or windows) and I’ve always been under the assumption that I can’t put an old indoor couch out there. I have a couch that is in decent shape but the shared spaces are already furnished.

If true, can someone point me to the municipal codes? Thanx in advance.
