GFCI in basement addition

Have a code question that I’m a little unsure of. I live in Ohio and I’m working on adding a new finished room to my basement, I’m finally starting on the wiring. When I pulled the permit for it the inspector told me to ensure I’m using all GFCI protected outlets which as I understand comes from NEC 210.8, my question is, does that mean all outlets have to be GFCI or do I just need to ensure I have one GFCI outlet at the beginning of the circuit?
