friends always hating on my dating life/ disrespecting people i want to pursue. anyone else?

to start, i personally think this is a societal issue between all genders/ ends of the spectrum, but i find it increasingly infuriating by the day.

i (20 F) only have a select few close friends, 2 who are gay men, and about 4-5 straight women. i have a difficult time with telling ANY of them when i am talking to a man id like to pursue romantically because it seems like no one is ever perfect enough.

the current guy i am talking to (21 M) is my ideal man, checks all the boxes in every aspect. if you asked my friends? not over 6 ft tall so he is too short, wears glasses occasionally so they say he looks "gay at times", and the best part of it all- NONE of them even know him or his character personally!! i could tell them every amazing quality he has and yet they will sit there and say horrific things about any man im pursuing.

there have been men where they literally hunt out his social medias without me giving them out, taking screenshots of their photos, and saying things such as, "he looks like the grinch." often times, gross insults!

if i refuse to tell them who i am texting or hanging out with- THEY STALK MY FOLLOWING ON INSTAGRAM TO FIND THEM..

I had a conversation with a neutral friend about this- doesn't know my other friends, and we came to the conclusion that a lot of people who do this are just 1- miserable, and 2- somewhat jealous of either me or the opportunities i get with men?

anyone else encounter this with their friends, regardless of gender? im not sure how to go about telling them off, and it doesn't ever come across as them being protective of me- just straight bullying and harassment. i am not one to extremely divulge with my friends about the dynamics and issues of my relationships just out of respect for my partners, and im starting to think i might be doing it subconsciously because of these situations.
