Finally, one that fits! Up a cup size, down a band size....

SpoilerThank You!

Three years ago I had a brief (2-3 weeks at most) double breast infection and wasn't able to wear anything but the loosest shirt or hoodie over them. Once that cleared up, I've had the WORST time finding a good fit. Before last night, the closest I could get was a random Chinese brand from Walmart website. It had no support whatsoever, but the stretchy fabric was the best. And it would only hurt at the end of the day. Yesterday, I found this subreddit, after I bought a bra at Walmart that was listed as 40D. My measurements in their most basic sense are 37 band and 42 bust. So I thought a 40D would fit, because that's what a LOT of websites state.

The fitting room was closed, so I took it home. That band was so tight it hurt the second I put it on. But the cups were gaping at the top.

Then I heard about the upside down/backwards trick. And sure enough, the band was just a little loose that way. So I followed the measurements guide on here. Today I bought two cheap (can't afford more than $15 per bra) 38DD, and went into the bathroom. As soon as I had one in, the complete lack of uncomfortableness, plus the support??? Life-changing!
