Honest opinion on Zohran Mamdani

General Discussion

First of all, any believing Muslim is better than a kāfir. But the question is: how much does Zohran actually follow the Deen?

Some of his political positions clearly don't align with Islam, for example, being pro-transness and promoting democracy. Sure, these positions may be good for his political career, but how good are they for his Deen? I'm tired of people in the West treating him as the “face of Islam.”

And yes, context, niyyah, and circumstances matter. But you can't just compromise on clear Islamic teachings whenever it's politically convenient and then brush it off. At some point, dunyā can't come before the Deen.

He's a good politician, but that doesn't automatically make him a good Muslim. Political success isn't taqwa.
