Love and marriage
I used a friend's account to post this morning, but the trolls got to me and I deleted it. Please no trolling or spamming this time.
I (31m) have remained firm on my deen (faith), staying away from fornication and falling in love. However, I still have human needs, and elders in my community have recommended an arranged marriage.
I have questions I hope people closer to my age can answer for me :
- Can love grow post-Nikkah?
- If we are not in love , what protects the marriage if emotions for someone else develop later?
- Is halal sex worth committing to a lifelong contract with someone I barely know?
- I see men in my community engage in fornication, make Tawbah (repentance), and marry chaste women. Is this something I should consider?
