112 and 129 trains CANCELLED abruptly and Amtrak won't take calls

I rely on these trains for getting to and from work, and they just cancelled them abruptly for no reason--any idea why and if this is going to be a regular issue? None of the other times they offer really work for me, and rerouting via that and a local transit would add over an hour of travel time, plus, if Amtrak runs late that day, then I miss the local train. On top of that, I tried calling customer service, and they refuse to take calls because of the "unusually high volume"--this is completely inexcusable. I don't know how long this is going to last, but it is incredibly disruptive to my work schedule. At the very least we are owed an explanation as to why this is happening and how long it is expected to last. I am not sure what else to do other than potentially drive, which also takes longer and means I can't get any work done while in transit.
