Am I the only one having trouble connecting with people?

Dating is hard but recently it seems like making friends is also harder. I'm having trouble connecting with women. I feel like I have found people to connect with even though I'm constantly surrounded by people.

Sometimes I wish I could have a girl best friend just to be able to talk about my poetry, random thoughts or even bounce back ideas.

I go to events & meet almost 10 people on average a month but I still can't seem to connect. It feels like I always hit a barrier... Honestly at this rate this is a rant
