[26/F] Hello, I’m looking for snail mail or post cards!
Hello! I’m from Oregon USA and I’d love to have some friends I can send letters to.
My main hope is to find someone who loves sharing about their life and the little things you learn day to day.
I believe that the effort, care, and love we put into other people will eventually find its way back to you. I want to practice slowing down and giving attention to people who I haven’t even met. I’d love to hear all about what you find interesting in the world and have the opportunity for you to be a teacher of your passions and hobbies, as well as I will happily share my knowledge and passions with you!
Currently I’m in school and working full time, but when I’m not working towards my goals, I spend a lot of time in nature, I want to learn more about the local wildlife and fauna and I’d be so grateful to share my findings as I practice that.
Reading is also one of my passions, if we have similar taste I enjoy digging into a book and their characters. The last 3 books I’ve read have been The Lonesome Dove, A River Runs Through It, and A Farewell to Arms.
My friends would probably describe me as a grandma who goes on badass adventures lol. I decorate and dress more like a grandma but my hobbies would probably make my grandma roll over in her grave. Anyways, comment or DM if you think we could have good conversations. :)

Quote from A River Runs Through It:
“Each one of us here today will at one time in our lives look upon a loved one who is in need and ask the same question: We are willing to help, Lord, but what, if anything, is needed? For it is true we can seldom help those closest to us. Either we don't know what part of ourselves to give or, more often than not, the part we have to give is not wanted. And so it is those we live with and should know who elude us. But we can still love them - we can love completely without complete understanding”
Norman Maclean.
Quote from Madonna in a fur coat:
“The pain of losing something precious - be it happiness or material wealth – can be forgotten over time. But our missed opportunities never leave us, and every time they come back to haunt us, we ache. Or perhaps what haunts us is that nagging thought that things might have turned out differently. Because without that thought, we would put it down to fate and accept it.”
Sabahatti Ali
Quote from Stoner:
“Sometimes, immersed in his books, there would come to him the awareness of all that he did not know, of all that he had not read; and the serenity for which he labored was shattered as he realized the little time he had in life to read so much, to learn what he had to know.”
