Everything in my life feels “mid” — and I know I’m the one responsible
Looks: mid.
Body: mid.
Talent: mid.
Decision-making: mid.
Career: mid.
True friends: few or none.
Money: not enough to make my parents retire.
Relationships: complicated.
Alcohol: becoming a habit.
Life overall: just… mid.
The frustrating part is that I actually know where things are going wrong.
I know I should work on my body.
I know I need to take my career more seriously.
I know I need to make better decisions.
I know I need to cut down on alcohol.
I know I need to build better friendships.
I know I need to do more for my parents.
But knowing the problem and actually changing yourself seem like two completely different things.
Some days I look around and wonder — is this just adulthood? Or am I slowly becoming someone I never wanted to be?
I have responsibilities. I have people I love. There are good things in my life too. But personally, I feel like I'm stuck somewhere between "I'm doing okay" and "I'm wasting my potential."
Maybe I'm not uniquely fucked up. Maybe a lot of people feel this way but don't talk about it.
So, if you've been in this place before — what actually helped you turn things around?
Not motivational quotes. Not "wake up at 5 AM."
I mean real changes that genuinely made you respect yourself again.
Anyone else feel the same?
