How did u overcame ur 4-5 year crisis?

Hello.

Mostly self taught pianist here. I recently felt that my progress is getting painfully slow.

My sight-reading kinda bad and I missed a lot of basic like some music theory and practicing scales extensively.

I think because I avoided that now that is getting back on me.

Overall, just feel like people practicing 4 years would achieve much more. What can u recommend? Tell me your story.
