how can i fix my dial from skipping modes?

I hope this the right sub again!! I have a concord 3045, and ive been using it frequently, pretty recently the modes will skip and its not allowing me to use the playback mode because of it. if anyone can tell me either why its happening or how to fix it, id appreciate it!! ive looked a little online but I haven't really found anyone saying how to actually fix it, unfortunately
