thinking of resigning next year (cl9, homegrown, 8 years)

General Discussion

i was promoted this june after 4 years in my previous level.

tbh, the main reason i want to leave is the (imo) pointless mycompetency exams that only almost had trivial questions not related to my daily work and how they're going to base our 'proficiency' from an exam like that, then there are those people who ping me everyday about it that i feel so much pressure and anxiety from it. i feel so dumb and starting to doubt my experience just because i can't reach the required proficiency for my level

i just think the small increase for the past few years, 2x/week rto which for me doesn't make sense since i don't have anyone to 'collaborate' with in the office, reduced benefits for the employees (i honestly looked forward to the car subsidy) is not worth it anymore

i love my job, what i do in the project, my teammates, but idk

maybe leaving after being here for 8 years (this is my first job after graduating college btw) would be better for my mental health and career, no?

i'm also curious if how much salary offer should i expect outside, since i'm used to the homegrown salary range here 🫠
