I hope nobody minds but I thought I'd share my app Flight Scanner, it's really relevant to the community so I hope the mods approve of the post given it's totally unique and could really be beneficial to aviation enthusiasts.

I made it because I was fed up with pulling out my phone every time an interesting aircraft flew overhead. I wanted a proper live radar on my watch rather than another list of nearby flights. Today the application is basically finished, just small tweaks being made.

The app uses your watch’s location to display live aircraft around you on a radar-style screen. You can pan and zoom around the map, select aircraft for more information, and display details including callsign, altitude, speed and heading.

It also includes:

• Filters for military aircraft, helicopters, airliners and smaller private aircraft

• Worldwide flight search and flight pinning

• Airport search with runway maps

• Customisable labels, radar range and animations

• A glance view for quickly checking nearby traffic

I’ve spent the past few weeks improving the app and rebuilding the store page based on feedback. The main aircraft radar is free to use, with an optional one-time Pro unlock for the additional features.

You can download it from the play store here:

(Any issues open the play store on your watch itself and search flight scanner or open the link above in an incognito tab)
