importance of extracurricular activities
hi, i am history major, currently doing masters in european and american history. i finished my bachelor's degree with 93/100. my current grades in master are around 99. also, i've got a 8 band in IELTS.
however, i don't have any impressive extracurriculars other than my 1 year volunteering experience. additionally, i will be starting as a history teacher in one of international schools next month, not sure if that is considered.
to what extent, these kind of extracurricular work or activities play a role in getting a scholarship or admission from unis? i know it is kinda a vague question, but i also know that grades are not sufficient alone. i want to go for history again, so publishing articles or research will probably help. but i would like to know more about this, if there are other important activities that have helped anyone
