There are already multiple applicants who reportedly spent money purchasing the required RDP, only to be asked for additional software/services afterward before they could supposedly start working.

The process I experienced:

1. Applied for a VA position with Ciona Tech LLC.

2. They required candidates to have a Windows RDP with 8GB RAM (No specificrequirement just 8gb Ram).

3. They directed candidates to CoreDeskSys to purchase the RDP. https://coredesksys.com/

4. The RDP costs around $35.99/month. Or roughly 2100 Php.

5. They said the RDP expense would be reimbursed according to the contract.

6. After getting the RDP, candidates may then be told that additional software/services are required through CoreDeskSys. (Additional payment)

# 🚩 THIS IS A MAJOR RED FLAG.

A legitimate employer should not put applicants in a situation where they have to continuously pay out-of-pocket for required systems or software just to be allowed to start working.

If you've already paid for the RDP because of this job, PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE.

DO NOT SPEND MORE MONEY UNTIL YOU VERIFY EVERYTHING.

If you're currently applying to **Ciona Tech LLC** and they are asking you to purchase an RDP, STOP AND INVESTIGATE FIRST.

I'm posting this because people are already losing money on these "required RDP" purchases. Don't let another applicant get scammed out of their money.

If **Ciona Tech** is legitimate and this process is legitimate, they should have no problem publicly explaining why applicants are required to purchase these services before starting and how reimbursement actually works.

Share this post so other applicants can see it before they pay.
