Successful re-latching stories?? Help!

I nursed my daughter (7 weeks) for the first 2 weeks of her life. Weight gain was a struggle and her latch was painful on one side. Tried triple feeding and ended up exclusively pumping. Tried re-latching at Week 4 but didn’t really know what I was doing and got overwhelmed and went back to pumping.

I’m gonna give latching one last try this week and want to be as prepared as possible to help my daughter be successful.

Tips for re-latching? What helped your baby? What do I need to do/know? Is this possible at 7 weeks?

I just miss the bond of nursing and want it back, even if it’s only part time instead of exclusively nursing.

Please help!
