Does anyone know why theres been so many cops monitoring the roads outside of RVA?

Ive seen a massive increase in police officers monitoring the roads and highways in Chesterfield, Henrico, Goochland and Powhatan recently, does anyone know why this is?
There was also a cop literally monitoring the road in a small street nearby where i live
