Stargazing in Cape town
Hey everyone! I might be accompanying my father on a business trip to Cape town for 3 days. Never having been to the southern hemisphere i am really exited to see some southern stars! I don’t think i will have much freedom of movement (i can’t drive and he’ll be working during the day) when i will be there and i think that the trip might be too short to go anywhere outside of cape town (unless maybe there is country-side very near by?). So i had two questions: firstly are there any easily accessible places to see stars decently well in cape town, like maybe areas with less light pollution? and secondly is it possible to see the southern cross and the magellanic clouds from around the waterfront?( from what i understand we’ll be staying in that area) Thanks!!
