Frontend internships may be hiding under broader job titles
If frontend is the work you want, searching only “frontend intern” can miss relevant openings. Try a small title set:
- frontend / front-end engineer
- UI engineer
- web or application engineer
- product engineer
- full-stack engineer
Then open each description and check the actual scope:
- React, TypeScript, or another client framework
- design systems and reusable components
- accessibility and browser performance
- client-side state, testing, and observability
- whether “full stack” means mostly API integration or mostly backend work
A broad title can still describe frontend-heavy work, and the reverse can also be true. The responsibility section is usually more useful than the label.
This is a search tactic, not evidence that pure frontend internships have disappeared.
