Checklist for upgrade

What's on everyone's checklist for an easy and smooth upgrade?

Setting up a new phone has gotten much easier over the years but there's still things that need to be done by the user. I know to back-up the phone and Google Maps. I always copy the photos and ringtones to my PC for transfer to the new phone. I've cleaned up my music files to upload to the phone.

What am I missing?
