switching from applying to dentistry to med?

so i’ve always wanted to do dentistry but the competition is downright scary right now. i was thinking if i get a lower ucat which has a less likely chance of me getting into dentistry i’d apply to med. i haven’t done as much research into med though and have no work experience. but i could possibly get gp work experience as i know someone.

is this a stupid plan? idk i do like the idea of medicine too im a bit afraid of f1 training and the NHS though. And then specialisation seems super competitive too and stressful. idk im so unsure, im waiting until my ucat to decide, ive already spent 2 years applying to dentistry idk if its a sign to switch
