I wanted to flag something that happened to me today because I’m more concerned about people potentially being misled or scammed than anything else.
I received a DM from a Reddit account offering to **pay me to make QC/product posts**.
They said they would provide the photos, product details and W2C link, and that I could post it “in my own style” as long as it followed the community rules. They would then pay me if the post was approved and remained visible.
I declined because I wouldn’t be comfortable presenting something as my own QC/review when I hadn’t actually bought or received the item myself.
The thing that worries me is how easily this could make a seller/product look like it has genuine buyer feedback when the person making the post hasn’t actually purchased or reviewed it.
I’m not saying that professional-looking photos or good-looking QC posts are automatically suspicious. Plenty of genuine buyers take great photos. But if someone is:
supplying the photos and product information
supplying the W2C
paying someone else to make the post
and specifically paying if the post remains visible
then I think that’s a pretty significant warning sign.
And ultimately, the concern for me is **people potentially trusting these posts and then sending their money to a seller based on what they think is independent community feedback.**
Has anyone else received a similar message offering payment for QC/product posts?
If you have, I’d be interested to know how widespread this is. I’ve attached the message I received so people can see exactly what was offered.
I’m not trying to accuse genuine reviewers or buyers of anything. I just think the community should be aware of this if people are being approached at scale.

Has anyone else been approached to make paid QC posts?
