Has anyone had experience with something like this?

I traded my f150 lariat into a Ford dealership about a year and a half ago for my tremor.

Recently, I was contacted directly by the new owner, who said they purchased my vehicle and were looking to have me sign some paperwork for an outstanding claim for hail damage.

I’m not sure how the dealership/Ford provided my personal contact information to the new owner or how this situation came about, but I’m honestly pretty unhappy about it. It seems very unprofessional to have my contact information passed along to the new owner without my knowledge or consent.

Why wouldn’t ford just call me???
