Looking for any recommendations/advice for my second species of pods :)

:redlight: Help

I currently have armadillidium vulgare (st lucia specifically), and i'm planning to upgrade them in a few months to a 12qt-15qt bin. Currently, they're in a latching 6qt bin with two large ventilation (mesh) holes on the dry side, so i'd like to get another species to still use the old bin.

I'd like a species that tolerates (some) handling/prodding around the bin fine, and isn't too hard to keep/manage. I'd also kind of like a species larger than A. vulgare, but i'm unsure if larger species would do as well in a 6qt bin for more than maybe a few months. I'm not interested in any expensive species or morphs like rubber duckies.

When i first got isopods, i'd almost gotten a P. scaber or P. laevis morph, but didn't want their numbers growing too fast, as well as i'd initially wanted a slower moving species to get used to handling such small "bugs" on occasion.

Porcellio scaber (calico?) or Porcellio hoffmannseggi (sevilla) are the highest on my radar currently. I'd prefer owning the latter, but i'm hesitant as they seem harder to keep + seem like they'll outgrow the bin rather fast. Looking for any suggestions/advice you guys might have :)
