WinkBed Luxury Firm failed in under 4 years. My lifetime warranty claim was denied
Mattress name: WinkBeds Luxury Firm, King
Length of review period: 3 years and 10 months when I first contacted WinkBeds about the warranty. The problems had started several months before that.
Sleeper height/weight: Two adults, approximately 200 lbs each
Sleeping position: Both side sleepers
I wanted to post this because I used to be one of the people recommending WinkBeds.
When we first got our Luxury Firm King in May 2022, I LOVED this mattress. Seriously. I bragged about it to people. If friends or family came over, I would actually have them lie on our bed because I wanted them to feel how comfortable it was.
We also bought WinkBeds' own platform foundation, so the mattress was being used on their support system.
Unfortunately, my opinion changed completely over the next few years.
By March 2026, less than 3 years and 10 months after we received it, the mattress had become saggy and I could feel something physically poking me from inside the mattress when I laid on it.
The problems had already been developing for several months before I contacted WinkBeds.
I contacted WinkBeds on March 2 and started a warranty claim.
They asked for photos of the mattress, measurements with a straight object across the surface, photos of the tags, full mattress photos, and photos of the support underneath it.
I sent them everything they requested. I sent a LOT of photos.
On March 6, WinkBeds responded that they could see compression between 1.0 and 1.25 inches. They said the mattress was "performing as designed" and that their lifetime warranty covers sagging of 1.5 inches or greater.
The problem is that sagging was not my only complaint.
From the beginning, I told them something inside the mattress felt like it was poking me when I laid on it.
After their response about the sagging, I specifically asked them what about the poking from inside the bed.
That issue was never meaningfully addressed.
I followed up again, sent additional measurement photos, and eventually asked for the claim to be escalated.
On April 28, after a supervisor reviewed it, WinkBeds said one of my measurements was actually less than half an inch and another measurement was invalid because it was taken near a tuft.
That was particularly frustrating because earlier in the same warranty process I had already been told the mattress showed 1.0 to 1.25 inches of compression.
The warranty claim was denied.
Their alternative was their 50% "Any Reason" replacement program.
That meant I could buy another mattress of the same size for 50% of the current retail price.
The catch was that the replacement would be final sale and would have no trial period and no warranty.
After paying premium money for a mattress and their foundation, then having the mattress become unusable for me in under four years, I was not comfortable giving the same company another large amount of money for a mattress with no warranty protection.
We ended up buying a $200 clearance mattress from Target because we needed something to sleep on.
I'm not claiming that the $200 mattress is going to last forever. That's actually part of why this bothered me so much.
I paid considerably more for the WinkBed because I thought I was paying for better construction, better longevity, and the protection of a lifetime warranty if something went wrong unusually early.
I also checked WinkBeds' current website before posting this. They still advertise durability testing involving 80,000 compression repetitions meant to simulate more than 20 years of sleeping.
Mine did not make it four years.
The part that disappoints me most is that I really did love this mattress when it was new.
I went from telling people, "You HAVE to lie on my mattress, it's amazing," to telling people to be very careful about assuming a premium mattress price and a lifetime warranty mean you will be protected if it fails early.
I have the original order information, the full email chain with WinkBeds, the photos I submitted during the warranty process, the mattress tags, the measurements, and their responses.
I'm posting some of those photos here so people researching WinkBeds can see what my long term ownership experience looked like.
