suddenly breaking out at 17 and i have no idea why :(
hello po! i’m a 17-year-old student who recently started experiencing breakouts and little bumps. i also have blackheads and whiteheads, but i’m more worried about the breakouts because this is something i haven’t really experienced before.
for reference, my skincare routine before included kohic papaya soap, which i recently switched to dr. wong sulfur soap (white variant). for toner, i used eskinol classic glow but switched to eskinol pimple fighting because i was hoping it would help with my breakouts. for moisturizer, i use luxe organix aloe vera soothing gel, and for sunscreen, i use dr. sensitive.
i also started using panoxyl 10% to help with my breakouts. it’s almost paubos na, but unfortunately, i haven’t noticed much improvement.
i’ve been trying to think of any habits or products that i might have changed that could’ve triggered this. i always wash my makeup brushes thoroughly, and i regularly change my bedsheets and make sure they’re clean. my hair also isn’t usually on my face since i normally tuck it behind my ears. as for my skincare and makeup products, i haven’t really changed the brands i use, and all of them are fda-approved.
i’m also on the heavier side, so i’ve been wondering if that could have anything to do with my sudden breakouts or if there are other factors i should consider.
what’s confusing me is that i didn’t really break out like this before, even when i was lacking sleep. before, i would usually only get 1–2 pimples right before my period, but now i’ve suddenly been experiencing more breakouts and little bumps.
i’m honestly not sure what could’ve caused this sudden change. i’ve been trying to figure out if it’s because of a skincare product, makeup, lifestyle change, stress, hormones, my weight, or something else, but i can’t seem to pinpoint it.
it’s starting to stress me out because i’m really not used to having this much acne. if anyone has experienced something similar or has any idea what might be causing it, i’d really appreciate your advice. :(
