PS5 audio quality still not fixed

Came back after a few months away from the game, was really hoping the audio issues on PS5 would be fixed.

The issue is that (primarily) explosions and other forms of audio get completely warbled and crackly. One second the audio is fine, the next it sounds like you’re inside a microwave. I’m not sure how to explain this other than it sounding like a bunch of sounds all fighting to be heard that get distorted and crunched together. And then after this initial static crackling occurs, it sometimes carries over into general audio and suddenly the whole thing sounds like I’m inside a popcorn bag.

I’m pretty surprised this is still a thing, I know it’s cliche but this is really big immersion breaker. I just came from playing BF1, and I can’t explain how much better the audio in that game is (as with most things about BF1). Changing my audio settings doesn’t help, and I know this is not a unique experience and is common amongst PS5 players. This feels like something that should be a priority because it genuinely makes me not want to play the game.
