Bluff Lanier
City Cowboy coming 8/21 is one of the best indie albums I’ve ever heard. It’s extremely new. Never heard anything like it. A queer southern male talking and being vulnerable without dropping any metaphors, he stays cohesive, each track is apart of the albums concept, it’s utterly brilliant. I am willing to bet that it will open a new lane for sure, but this is the start of a very promising global career. Bluff Lanier has a catalog of 70 plus songs all original, all apart of his story. Wait until he tells you his story. It’s insanely something unheard of. Homeless, heartbroken lost confused toxic ex partner trying to destroy him, and this man went to learn music to survive. To heal from the trauma. The abuse. Shut himself off from the outside world so he could focus on sounds and blending without being influenced. Used Lyft passengers as a live focus group after he would make a song. He would never tell them it was his song he would just look for cues like head bobbing, or if they asked who it was or if they asked him to play it again this would eventually lead to him finding the beginning of his signature, sound half deaf everything against him and in 10 months from nothing this art is created an entire cinematic universe that is all cohesive all on brand and it all started with something that’s going to end in a thesis of can somebody create global success from not having the foot in the door just from from trying learning analytics data research and he’s very close to answering that question city Cowboys the final frontier for that
