Women of Reddit, what’s something you stopped tolerating as you got older?
Could be in relationships, friendships, family, work, or just life in general.
Maybe it’s something you once considered normal but eventually realised was actually draining you.
Maybe you stopped explaining yourself to people who had already decided to misunderstand you.
Stopped chasing people who only showed up when it was convenient.
Stopped feeling guilty for saying no.
Stopped accepting “that’s just how I am” as an excuse for bad behaviour.
I feel like growing up is less about becoming a completely different person and more about becoming very clear about what you’re no longer willing to put yourself through.
So, genuinely curious:
What’s one thing you used to tolerate that you absolutely wouldn’t tolerate today?
No judgement — I’m actually interested in the things people only learn after going through them.🫠
