Desperately need help for a friend
Hi everyone!
I’m not sure if this is allowed so if it’s not let me know. I’m running out of time and I really need to find a safe happy home for my girl ASAP.

I am sadly being forced to rehome my 3 year old Akita/collie mix. I’m trying to escape a tough situation and unfortunately it’s not safe or right to her for her to stay with me. She is around 50 pounds and a bundle of puppy energy wrapped in fur. Unfortunately she did not receive the training I had hoped she would. She is potty trained but she does struggle with counter surfing, pulling on the leash, and barking. But she is so so food motivated and would take to any trainings very quickly. She is kennel trained and will come with some toys, a harness and leash and some of the food she’s eating. She would do best in a house without cats and dogs but has never been aggressive with either. She has had all her shots. She is unspayed so I would like her to have owners that have intentions of having her fixed. If you have any questions feel free to reach out I look forward to hearing from you. There will be a small rehoming fee to ensure she gets a good home. I got her when I was barely a teenager, and I made sure I had a proper savings account, scheduled vet appointments, and worked with her on basic training for the first eight months of her life. Soon after I got her, I was diagnosed with a chronic illness. I struggled to get out of bed, I was in pain every day and caring for a dog became a lot harder. I did my best for her as long as I could and when I felt like she wasn’t getting the care she deserved anymore I started searching for a home for her. I ended up moving out of my toxic abusive household and ended up in a home where I was crashing with a friend and she was unable to be out of the room she was locked in because I worked 14 hour days and she had dogs that were aggressive. I’ve made mistakes and I’m trying to make up for them by making sure she gets the life she deserve which unfortunately isn’t one I can give her rn. And I 100% agree that she should’ve been spayed and i am wrong to not have already. We had an appointment scheduled with the vet to get her spayed, but the vet convinced us to wait because he said waiting until after the first heat was better for a dog and she never had a noticeable heat. And unfortunately, when I got sick it got pushed to the back burner. I hope you have a good day and thank you for caring so much about dogs.
