Anyone use Wind Aid?

Horse Welfare

I’ve been using Hawthorne Wind Aid (liquid form) on my mare with allergies in hopes she can breathe better when we do more extensive work. I started it a week ago for her and while it seems to be helping her, the issue is kind of with me.

Whenever I give it to her, if I smell it/breathe it in, my throat immediately starts burning and gets all irritated. I’ve tried covering my nose and mouth and while it isn’t as bad, it still happens even after I’ve administered it and the smell still lingers in the air. Then the burning continues for the rest of the day on and off. Does anyone else have an issue like this, or is it just me? Maybe an allergy to something in it? My trainer recommended it to me because she’s used it on her own horses with allergies, but she doesn’t have the same problem as me. It’s just really irritating.
