Better competition while already on a team.
Thought I’d throw this out here and see if anyone has recommendations.
At tryouts, my daughter made the U13B team. At the time, she was probably a middle-of-the-pack player, so we were really happy with where she landed — and we still are. Her coach has been great, and we’ve had a really positive experience.
Over the summer, though, she got very serious about training and has been putting in a ton of work. She’s also been playing with some of her friends on a U13A boys team. Add in growing 4–5 inches over the summer, and she’s honestly a very different player than she was at the end of last season.
She’s played in a couple of B level tournaments this summer (which, from what I understand, may be closer to BB/A depending on the tournament) and has been pretty dominant.
We’re absolutely happy with her current team and aren’t looking to move her. We’d just like to find ways for her to continue playing against stronger competition so she keeps developing and stays challenged.
Looking for ideas?
