Why am I still getting event notifications on my phone from Google Calendar despite turning off notification?

I'm going on a vacation and I don't want to be reminded of work trash while I am actually having a good time with my life.

I went into my calendar's setting and sharing section and I have no event notifications but they keep coming up on my phone anyway. I have an android phone. How do I get rid of these things for good (2.5 weeks).
