Advice 🤔 [All Welcome]

Hi! I just hired a nanny for the first time. When she first came I showed her around the pantry, kitchen, fridge etc., where everything is and that she can help herself to anything whenever she wants. And to please let us know what kind of snacks and drinks or groceries she’d like us to keep for her here, and that I’ll add those items to our weekly grocery orders. I reiterated this over text as well.

She said thanks but in the few days she’s been here: never eaten anything of ours, never brought anything herself, didn’t send me a list - nothing. I don’t understand and i feel so awkward even eating my own lunch when she’s around (i WFH) bc why isn’t she eating anything? We don’t have a ton of meal prepped food in the fridge because of demanding jobs and my toddler has meal kits for that he eats. But we have fruits veggies meat eggs and standard pantry staples (i also always prep some chicken and beef at least so have in the fridge weekly)

I also DoorDash my lunch quite frequently to have something to quickly grab between meetings but now I’m hesitant to because do I need to ask her every single time what to order for her too if I order frequently? Like I’m talking 3x a week probably.
