Events discussion question

I'm super curious about perspectives here.

I'm hearing a lot that money's tight. I'm also seeing ads for like events that are supposed to be sold out for $59 decorate one cupcake and get one glass of wine events. A city like Montreal, in your experience, for the groups of people you know is money tight or what groups of people (please don't say generic millionaires) are going to these $60 speed dating or cupcake decorating.
