Nuisance Professional Drivers Outside House and Preschool All Day
For reference, I live close to the Peter McGrath Child Development Center which is itself near the airport.
Starting a few months ago, our street, which was once peaceful, has become inundated with professional black car drivers presumably waiting for calls from the Burbank airport. Not only is there no longer any street parking because of these guys, they hang out all day on the street, smoke all day, litter, talk loudly, and there is seemingly nothing we can do about it.
My husband frequently asks them to stop smoking and talking loudly near his home office window and while sometimes they’re receptive to quieting or moving, lately, I’ve seen some aggression to the tune of, “call the cops on us! Do you own the street?” We actually have used 311/ Burbank PD non emergency and the response was not encouraging.
This is a daily frustration, and I’m not really sure how to fix it. Is there something to be done about the littering, the loitering, or smoking near homes and a childcare center? My fear is nothing is enforceable, but if you have faced similar issues or you’re actually one of our neighbors, I would absolutely love to hear what can be done about it.
